Gosh, where to start! I’ve been working on some really exciting projects recently.
I’ve been so busy that I’m not able to reply to public emails, requests, email to my list or write blog posts. So I’m going to talk about what I’m working on and where I’m heading in 2014.
Man I gotta say, 2014 is half gone and I have no idea that time flew away so fast! This year is frustrating and challenging, I tried using tumblr for fast and quick blogging, it didn’t worked so well, but I’m still go write there a bit, though I’m keeping this blog either way and will be writing on it more often. 🙂
I started a publishing company, where we publish influential authors and content creators who have genuine knowledge that can improve other people’s life drastically. My partner Brandon Fredrickson is helping me building this company. This is an exciting project and we’re moving to Austin, TX to build this company and start rolling. We have one more partner who will be joining us very soon.
One of the most exciting projects I’ve started this year is a trading service company called “I Fired Wall St.” I teamed up with Brandon and here we publish trading and investment authors. This is one of the branches of our publishing company.
If you dunno Brandon Fredrickson, I can talk about him forever, the dude’s been into trading like forever and teaching people to trade as well. He also managed hedge fund for Paul Tudor Jones, a big ass trader, he is also a billionaire, go look him up!
Brandon also knows as well as taught trading to a lot of now influential personalities in trading and investments. But there were some problems with his health which caused him to retire, actually a whole lot of problems. But he is all good now. He also did multiple multimillion dollar product launches in past but now he is running his own – IFiredWallStreet.com and an asset management company that we have, which he and his team manages. We are also publishing some big names in the niche, check us out in a couple of weeks to know who!
So that is one project. I’m a co-founder, technology consultant and operations chief there.
I’ve also been working on a couple of web-apps or SaaS projects.
One is a high end employee management solution, which I’ll be announcing very soon right here on this blog. I’ll be needing some beta testers for it. It basically helps employers manage their employee, find out who is the best performer, have an internal 360′ rating system and get legal stuff done all from single place. People can also pay employees from it. This is an MVP and we have a lot of ideas on this thing.
We have a plan to build a directory of “people for hire” that can be ranked based on their rating from this ’employee management system’ and provide solution in this field as well. We have a plan to compete with odesk and build the best place NOT JUST to hire virtual employees but also manage and monitor them.
This entire system is named – Hatchboy.
I know right! Weird name, I’m not good with them 🙂
We are writing the entire code from scratch, and will be working on this real time application that is also highly scalable via cloud based solutions we are using.
Next Application is a secret because I made everyone on the team sign an NDA and it wouldn’t be fair if I reveal it here before the MVP is done. I’m bleeding cash on this thing though, so really nervous as hell as well.
A couple of years ago I was watching a movie called “To Kill A Mockingbird.”
It was one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. I checked out the book as well, I would highly recommend you to go and check it out as well.
So I’ve thinking about it a lot, talked to a bunch of friends about this topic about what makes a man truly a man. The character Atticus Finch from that movie moved the hell out of me about standing up to what you believe in and what it truly means to be a man. I truly understood what manliness is, that’s the kinda man I want to be.
Sometimes you have make choices, it’s not what you CAN DO. But What you CHOOSE TO DO that defines you. Those choices will define the kinda man you are.
I’m doing a book on it, writing 15 minutes a day though maintaining a really good flow is hard. Lessons on Manliness will be available in the fall and I’ll be running a campaign to promote it.
Technology has always been my first love and always will be. I’m working on some projects under Thrib. There are some designs that I finished working on. One of my partner in Thrib is working on taking cheap raspberry pie computing systems and figuring out how to get them to students who can’t afford a normal computer or a laptop. This entire project is in process of getting funding from government of India to ship the complete systems.
You know over the past few years I’ve learned that most important thing is that you have to be passionate about what you do. If you are running a business, even if it has a good potential and high margin but you do not enjoy doing it, it is going to be one hell of a hard journey for you.
Have systems in your business and organize those systems for efficient and optimal output. And always, protect yourself legally.
